TORONTO STAR, JANUARY 3 1958: "It is true that the parks department operates 58 natural ice rinks for skating and 23 for hockey - or will do so, if and when there is enough frost. For all the freezing weather we get here most winters, the department might as well spare the trouble and expense, and get on with the job of multiplying the number of artificial ice rinks."

OPEN WOMEN’S SHINNY Tuesday Dec 29 9pm-11pm

Level 1 – 12 & under w/ caregivers/beginner Level 2 – 13-17/medium paced Level 3 – 18 & over/fast paced

Skaters must leave the ice during maintenance. The hockey pad is usually scraped first.

RINK HOUSE HOURS

Thurs Dec 24 9am-5pm
Frid Dec 25 10am-6pm
Thurs Dec 31 9am-6pm
ALL OTHER DAYS -Dec 21-23, Dec 27-30, Jan 1- 9am-9pm

Snack bar and skate rental are also open at these times – they will close half an hour before the building.

There is usually unsupervised POND STYLE SHINNY on the pleasure pad after 9:30pm
